WHO WE ARE
Our cadre were forged in the crucible of Army Tier-1 Special Operations, tested on the most unforgiving battlefields across the globe. Through the great equalizer—modern combat—they have gained firsthand knowledge and experience, paid for in blood and sacrifice. Every member of our 20+ instructor staff has been hand-selected from the ranks of our nation’s most elite fighting force—The Army’s Sole Special Missions Unit, based out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina. With over 500 years of combined special operations experience, Hades Consulting is the definitive answer to your training needs.
At Hades Consulting, we believe that elite training should not only be tactically sound but also legally defensible, practical, and tailored to the unique challenges of modern law enforcement. We specialize in Close Quarters Battle (CQB), active shooter response, hostage rescue, leadership development, pistol and carbine marksmanship, small unit tactics, planning, full mission profiles, and joint interagency readiness exercises. Each course is custom-tailored to the end user’s specific needs, ensuring that agencies receive training that is both relevant and immediately applicable to their operational environment.

Our cadre continually refine our programs based on client feedback, officer-involved shooting (OIS) case studies, and real-time intelligence from battlefields and law enforcement incidents worldwide. Beyond training, we provide strategic consulting and leadership development for law enforcement agencies and professional sports teams, including organizations such as the Green Bay Packers. Charlie Ross
Hades Co-founder and CEO
Charlie Ross enlisted in the US Army at the age of 17 following the events of September 11, 2001. He began his career by completing the Ranger Indoctrination Program and was assigned to the 3rd Ranger Battalion at Ft. Benning, GA. During his time with the Rangers, Charlie successfully completed Ranger School, Static Line Jumpmaster, and Pathfinder School while conducting multiple overseas rotations.
After four years and four combat deployments, Charlie attended selection for the Army’s Sole Tier-1 Special Missions Unit at the age of 21, where he succeeded on his first attempt. Following completion of the six-month Operator Training Course, he deployed to combat an additional ten times. Charlie earned two Bronze Stars with Valor, one Purple Heart, and various other awards. He held numerous positions, including Assaulter, Operator Training Course Instructor, Assistant Team Leader, and Recon Team Leader.
Charlie also attended the Special Operations Sniper School, Explosive Breaching Course, Freefall Parachutist, and Freefall Jumpmaster courses, and competed in the Best Ranger Competition. After 18 years of service and 14 combat deployments, Charlie medically retired as a Master Sergeant (promotable) in 2021.
In September 2020, Charlie co-founded Hades Consulting with his respected friend Zachary Harrison, with a singular mission: to continue serving others. Together, they established Hades Consulting to provide the highest level of tactical training to law enforcement and military personnel, sharing their vast experience to strengthen those who serve and protect.
Zack Harrison
Hades Co-founder and Lead Instructor
Zachary E. Harrison enlisted in the US Army in 2003 and entered the Special Forces Qualification Course after successfully completing Special Forces Assessment and Selection. His primary Military Occupational Specialty was 18B (Special Forces Weapons Sergeant). After finishing the Qualification Course, he was assigned to 3rd Special Forces Group (SFG-A), where he served as both a Junior and Senior Weapons Sergeant on an Operational Detachment-Alpha.
In 2008, he attended and passed selection for the Army’s Sole Tier-1 Special Missions Unit. Upon completion of the Operator Training Course, he was assigned to an Assault Troop, where he served until the spring of 2011. Zachary then transferred to the Special Warfare Training Group, where he served as an instructor for the Special Forces Advanced Reconnaissance Target Analysis & Exploitation Course (SFARTAEC), training over 400 US Army Green Berets.
Zachary was awarded three Purple Hearts for his actions and sacrifices in combat. He separated from active duty in January of 2014. Since his End of Time in Service date, he has served as a firearms and tactics instructor for various military and law enforcement agencies across the United States.
In September of 2020, Zack co-founded Hades Consulting with his respected friend, Charlie Ross, with the singular mission of continued service to others. Together, they have established Hades Consulting as the premier law enforcement tactical training company, focusing on elite, battle-tested training for those who serve and protect.
